  Used to be better under old management. Now that new construction has resulted in hard faux-wood floors, being a downstairs neighbor is torture with constant banging and hearing every single noise. Was never a problem when carpets were present. I do not, under any circumstances, recommend renting a first floor apartment here. Otherwise living here is great.
  
  Addendum: Do NOT rent from these people. Now they are forcing me to move all of my things out of my apartment at my time and expense so that they can renovate it and then giving me the option of moving back into my apartment in two weeks at my time and expense while raising my rent almost $200 a month for the privilege of living in the renovated space that I didn't ask for and do not want. I have lived here for 4 years and this is how they repay loyalty. And, yes, my upstairs neighbors are still insanely noisy and the apartment complex has done absolutely zilch about it. Arbors of Brookdale is the worst mistake I've ever made.
